Ruth Fennell was instrumental in making our forums on Globalization a tremendous success! These “Preview Forums” used excerpts of documentaries along with facilitated dialog to bring together community members and journalists to talk about the sweeping changes of globalization and what they mean to our local area. Ruth brought together a team of facilitators (both professional and volunteer), provided them materials and training ahead of time, and supervised the 20 plus small group discussion groups on the evening of each forum. The professional training, preparation and materials she provided ensured a valuable outcome for all participants. The evaluations completed by participants after the events reflected how well the small group discussions were received. Participants all asked to be in included in future programs as they appreciated the opportunity to be heard in a constructive discussion format with their fellow participants.
