About Ruth

Prior to entering real estate, Ruth worked in corporate Training and Human Resources for USAA Insurance, Capital One, and Kaset International (now AchieveGlobal). Ruth is currently an active Broker REALTOR® and national instructor. She resides in the Nashvile area while also maintaining her FL Broker’s license. Ruth teaches real estate pre-licensing courses and designation courses, such as the Seniors (50+ years) Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) class. She is an approved REBAC® instructor for the Accredited Buyer’s Representative® (ABR®) designation, and their new E-Buyer® course which is an elective for the ABR® designation. Ruth is now certified to teach the new "GREEN"® course designation for REBAC®.  She is also certified to teach the National Association of REALTORS® “At Home with Diversity”® course. Plus, Ruth teaches two new national courses called "20/20 Financing for Real Estate" and "Reverse Mortgages and YOU!"

 

With her extensive background in training, Ruth has the ability to create unique and individualized training sessions. She has customized programs for corporate, educational, and real estate offices for over 18 years.  She has given presentations in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New York. Due to her personal experiences with a family member and Alzheimer’s Disease, Ruth has become a subject matter expert on the growing seniors market. She has researched the various components that will be impacted our population, starting with the Baby Boomers and older members, as we continue to age. She has just completed her new book:  LOVING SENIOR TRANSITIONS: The Top Five Questions Baby Boomers Need to Know to Help Aging Loved Ones that will help family members cope with the multiple demands created as loved ones grow older. The book will offer guidance to individuals and family members who want to help seniors in important decisions affecting their mental, physical, legal, and financial needs.

In addition to a Masters in Adult Education from the University of South Florida, Ruth has a long list of professional credentials, including the CTM™designation from Toastmasters™ and the SPHR™ (Senior Professional in Human Resources™) designation from the Society of Human Resource Management™. Her accomplishments also include nineteen real estate designations: SRES® (Seniors Real Estate Specialist®), CSA (Certified Senior Advisor), CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist), GREEN® from the National Association of REALTORS®, ABR® (Accredited Buyer’s Representative®), GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute), e-PRO® (NAR’s Internet professional designation), AHWD® (At Home with Diversity®), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), CSP (Certified Sales Professional), CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist), TRC (Transnational Referral Certificate), CLHMS (Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist), ASP (Accredited Staging Professional), CPMS (Certified Property Management Specialist), PMN (Performance Management Network), RFS (Residential Finance Specialist) and RECS (Real Estate Cyber Specialist).  Ruth has also completed the Instructor Training Institute (ITI) program from both the Florida Association of REALTORS® and the Tennessee Association of REALTORS®.
